Perhaps the rarest of all air racers and one of the most distinct is this Grumman F7F-3N Tigercat. One of only about 6 airworthy examples, this aircraft is campaigned by Mike Brown. It is not the fastest, but for quite some time it has been the only twin-engine racer. The sound Big Bossman makes as it comes around to the front stretch with its two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 at race power is something that must be heard to believe.
