A rare sighting for this late in the year.

Parts of the pond had started to ice over. Today's forecast is for up to 35cm of snow.
Will it survive the storm?

Occasionally it appeared to be calling. Were there other shovelers in the area?

Three SUPER images, Penny. Well, a male N. Shoveler survived the extreme cold of last Winter, so I have hope for her!
