During our last day in Fort Myers Beach I'd gone for a walk on the beach and noticed an osprey splashing out in the ocean. It seemed to be trying to unsuccessfully take off.
Above is a long distance shot. Notice the dolphin fin in the top left corner.





Here's a close-up crop of the first image, clearly showing why the osprey could not get airborne.
That's one huge fish.




The osprey made the decision to swim to shore, using its wings as paddles and dragging its fish along.
