On display.... mating or broken wing?

We couldn't tell if a nearby killdeer was the reason for the display or if a nest was nearby.

Great shots Penny. I think Stephanie is right. It just wants you to follow it to draw you away from the nest/young.

I'm betting this killdeer was pretending to have a broken wing so as to distract "predators" (YOU) from its nest. :) Magnificent captures! :)
