The motto of Pope Francis is inspiring, in most, if not all,
aspects of life. Even if it is tilted from a religious perspective,
the principle can always be attested.
The photography life i have is anchored on similar concept;
that a simple subject could voice out the strongest and most meaningful message.
Rarely would i do but in this year's Holy Week personal assignment,
I incorporated the motto into the general theme,
ironically making the work a step beyond my capacity.
In fact, days had passed yet I still had to make my very first shot of the week.
Holy Thursday came when a scene unfolded instantly on the pews in front of me,
coincidentally with a message in bold characters "make an effort" (IMG_5094).
I asked myself what more these exhausted mind and body can give.
Eventually, my spirit made me akin to that kid who
passionately painted in simplest strokes a symbolic church by lowly ink and paper...
