Todaiji and Horyuji

For this trip, we visited two of Japan's most famous temples. Todaiji, the Great Eastern Temple, is the largest wooden building in the world, while Horyuji, head temple of the Shirakawa sect of Buddhism, is the oldest. A whirlwind tour of monuments to carpentry.
