Our first official group trip. Hasedera is one of the more out-of-the-way temples near Nara, but in my very limited experience it's perhaps one of the most beautiful. The city of Tenri is home to the religion of the same name, which has developed something of a cult-like reputation amongst many Japanese. We visited their headquarters, a magnificent building in the middle of the city.
