While our good buddy Bruce Johnson unfortunately had to move away from all of us in Jackson, his new place in Roanoke, Virginia is nothing short of breathtaking. Nestled in the mountains right along the Appalachian Trail just off Interstate 81, Roanoke and its surroundings offer the ideal place for fun in the great outdoors. Bruce took us to the Camp Powhatan, a Boy Scout reserve about an hour south of Roanoke, where he taught us the basics of fly fishing and the joys of chaw while his faithful dog Ralph terrorized the local wildlife.
