Maitland Flood 2007

On the 10th of June 2007 the Hunter River, fed by innumerable sources upstream, reached major flood levels inundating land already heavily saturated by excessive rainfall. Maitland proper was saved due to a strategic levee and spillway system. This gallery is our own little microcosm of a much greater event.

Quite an amazing documentary with many fine shots. It must seem really strange to have a lake appear like this, and for it to stay! Very well done.

Hi Guys,
Fantastic photos Greg, road closed & swimmers gate are our favourites! A Torrent, is planted firmly in memory,the water came up so fast it was truly amazing.Glad you captured it on film.

We sit at home dry little bit of water lying around and we thought we had a bad storm. You see it on the news and it looks unbelievable but thank you for sending the photos, it looks like you were lucky.
