I'm not a big fan of sugar cane plantations after I realized that's where Barbadians dump their pets when they can't or don't want to take care of them.
We found 4 starving kittens left to die when taking pictures in one of these fields, and took them with us to the hotel where we were trying to feed them for a night. Next morning we found a vet who promised to look after them, so a happy end for our little friends.
