This small museum is in an annex to the community center of Zeppelinheim. In 1934, when the Zeppelin era took off, the airport in Frankfurt on Main was expanded to house a whole fleet of intercontinental and transoceanic airships. In the years before the Hindenburg crashed it was widely believed that the future belonged to these silver behemoths. In order to house a large number of crew and support personnel, the DLR (German Zeppelin Company) built a whole coperate village which was named Zeppelinheim (Zeppelinhome)
