In 1987 German pastry-chef turned survialist and human-rights-activist Rüdiger Nehberg custom- built this pedalo for a transatlantic voyage. For the past 60 years Germans have followed the intrepid exploits of "Sir Vival"
The sail visible in the background is part of "The Tree"- a float which he built in 2002 to cross the Atlantic to campaign for the brazilian rainforest and its indigenous Yanomami tribe.
