Douglasstrasse 10 is the childhood home of Judith Kerr, daughter of famed theatre critic Alfred Kerr and sister of the late Hon. Michael Kerr, a famous British lawyer. Judith became an artist and author of children's books- best known are " The Tiger who came to tea",the "Mog"- Series and the semi-autobiographical trilogy "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit". In the latter she details how her family was able to leave Germany just before Hitler came to power.After living in Switzerland and France, the Kerrs eventually settled down in London. It is this house she refers to in her books when she mentions " the little white house in Grunewald"
