The Loggerhead Shrike is a predatory songbird. It's nick name "Butcher Bird" is well deserved, it's diet consists of small vertebrates including amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds! So like other predatory birds it has to expel a pellet made up of the indigestible parts of their pray!
