Tug Of War! Loggerhead Shrike Fledgling Steals A Gecko! "See What Happens Next"

The Loggerhead Shrike is the only bird known to impale it's prey. Lacking a raptor's talons to hold it's quarry it evolved this method in order to eat or store it's prey! Therefore the moniker Butcher Bird! In this case the adult Shrike was wedging a Gecko into the V of a branch for later use and did not know the fledgling was watching. The fledgling swooped in, snatched the Gecko then flew with it out to a branch, not knowing the adult had spotted it! This funny scene then ensued!
