Piping Plover resident at milepost 54.5 LL=dk.blue RL=lt.green over dk.green LU=metal RU=white flag "This is a male banded at Big Quill Lake, Saskatchewan, in 2003 (nest QW-03-17). He was seen on Mustang Island last winter, and this summer nested at Big Quill again (QW-04-05), then when his first chicks were lost (very cold and wet weather) when very young, he renested and was found with a brood there (QW-04-X13). This nest hatched so late (about 25 July), we weren't around long enough to see if anyone fledged from it."
