Last June 18-20, fellow birders Bob Kaufman, his wife Cynthia and I had a three day birding sortie at Mt. Kinabalu Park in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
Blessed with a sunny but cold weather, we were mesmerized by the majestic Mt. Kinabalu every time it shows itself from the thick clouds that envelop the summit.
But most of all, we were able to capture some of the most beautiful montane birds that Mt. Kinabalu has to offer.
These birds we captured were only from the green rainforest at the park's lowest altitudes.
