Early on the morning of Wednesday, February 28, 2007, I started off on a train journey from my home in Detroit, Michigan, with my final destination being San Diego, California. I had two stops along the way. The first was for a few hours in Chicago's Union Station where I then picked up Amtrak's Southwest Chief heading west to Los Angeles' Union Station. I arrived in Los Angeles on Friday morning, March 2. Once there, I stayed for three days with my sister Emily and her husband Gorsha in their new condo in Burbank, just outside of LA. On Monday, March 6, I took the Pacific Surfliner south to San Diego. There I stayed with my friends Phil and Scott for two weeks before turning around and taking the same trains home. I arrived back in Detroit at midnight on March 21 where my dear husband Ed met me with hugs and kisses. If ever there were a perfect vacation, this was it.

I'll be putting up new galleries of photos just as soon as I can sort through and edit them. I warn you: this will be a longterm project as I took literally thousands of photos! I promise to be as selective as possible.
