The Survivor Tree
The smaller tree in front of the Freedom Tower was discovered in the rubble with roots and branches broken off and the trunk blackened, but still alive. It was nursed back to health in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx and replanted at the Memorial.

Excellent light on the building, and very appropriate composition with the survivor tree. Interesting information as well. V.
