Diego Playing with his 'squeaky' toy ...
He's looking over his shoulder to make sure Quincy isn't trying to take it from him.

This girl had the most flawless skin I have EVER seen.

Trick-or-treater. Check out this photo I took of her just four years ago:

Another attempt at a landscape! Can you see the tiny moon at the top right corner?

Nature's Bottle Brush
I'm obviously still trying to get the hang of the very shallow DOF of the EF 50mm f/1.8 mk1 ...

Brussel Sprout
I realize this lacks much in the composition department, but I just got my 50mm f/1.8 mk1, and I wanted to see what it could do. Not bad for a cheap lens. I won't buy the f/1.4, I don't think.

Keeping An Eye On Things
That white fluffly looking stuff near his feet are the guts from his ripped up squeaky squirrel ...

Quincy Got Back!
He's looking for something to chase! With those two-inch long legs it's a wonder he runs as fast as he does, but being a herding breed, believe me, he can RUN! ;)

Diego In The Meadow
He is a whopping 9.5 pounds, which is three pounds over the Chihuahua breed standard! He is still smaller than my small, female cat, Lily.
DIEGO, PRACTICING TO BE A WATCH DOG
"QUINCY" the Welsh Pembroke Corgi
AT 18 MONTHS, IN THE GARDEN OF RUBBER BALLS & STOLEN SNEAKERS.
QUINCY, HOARDING THE BALL
I HAVE BECOME A RECLUSE, PLAYING WITH MY DOGS, LISTENING TO THE BEST MALE SINGER AND ONE OF THE VERY BEST SONG WRITERS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, THE ONE AND ONLY DWIGHT YOAKAM. WHEN I GET SICK OF HIM (WHICH IS NEVER), I LISTEN TO THE INCREDIBLY TALENTED AND PRETTY MUCH NUTZ (IMHO) FIONA APPLE. WHEN I'VE HAD MY FILL OF THEM, I LISTEN TO LILA DOWNS, Rodney Crowell, Joshua Bell and for a real treat Garrison Keillor.
MANY MOONS AGO ...
I PLANTED THESE TREES!
THE PLUM IS SUPPOSED TO BE 'ORNAMENTAL' BUT LAST YEAR IT HAD A BOUNTY OF TASTY, TINY PLUMS!
FOR VINCENT ...
... THE KING OF 'DINER' SHOTS, WHOSE GALLERIES ALWAYS MAKE ME SMILE.
THE TITMOUSE
THIS IS ONE OF THE VARIETIES OF BIRDS THAT HAS FALLEN VICTIM TO THE DEVISTATING WEST NILE VIRUS, WHICH HAS KILLED LITERALLY TENS, IF NOT HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF BIRDS IN THIS AREA ~ ABSOLUTELY TRAGIC.
OLD & OLDER
I TRIED TO SEE SOME KIND OF DATE ON THE INDIAN HEAD PIECE, BUT IT'S TOO WORN DOWN.
Hairy Woodpecker
The Hairy Woodpecker is a small but powerful bird that forages along trunks and main branches of large trees. It wields a much longer bill than the Downy Woodpecker's almost thornlike bill. Hairy Woodpeckers have a somewhat soldierly look, with their erect, straight-backed posture on tree trunks and their cleanly striped heads. Look for them at backyard suet or sunflower feeders, and listen for them whinnying from woodlots, parks, and forests.
SUSPICIOUS
HE IS THE SENTINENTAL OF MY BACKYARD. HE IS NOT AFRAID OF THE DOGS, ALTHOUGH HE SHOULD BE.
DIEGO THE SQUEAKY SQUIRREL KILLER ...
HE IS A FUNNY, FRIENDLY, FEARLESS, LITTLE DOG WHO THINKS HE'S A BULL MASTIF.
YARD SENTINEL
THIS GRACKLE TAKES A TERRITORIAL STANCE ON MY SPLIT-RAIL FENCE EVERY DAY WHEN I PUT SEED IN THE FEEDERS. HERE, HE SITS IN POURING RAIN, MAKING SURE NO OTHER BIRDS STEAL HIS SEEDS! THE RAIN REFLECTING OFF HIS VERY DARK BLUE-BLACK FEATHERS MADE HIM SORT OF IRIDESCENT, AND SO I GRABBED THE CAMERA.

Votive Candle Holders
Firey looking and they don't even have the candles in them. This image seems greatly degraded after putting it here on PBase! Geez!
The farm down the road ....
Well, I AM still learning, and I always seem to do this. I love to photograph this place. I will fix the sky later when I have my own computer back. I screwed up and saved this as a BMP. PBase automatically converts it to a .jpeg for web use. I don't know how much this image is degraded, I decided to stick it on here anyway because I like the 'roll' of the terrain.
