Boys on the side
A group of young boys observe attemptively a group of
adult warriors practice the traditional dances and
phlebotomy of the cow ritual (Extraction of the blood by
piercing of the jugular vein in the neck with an arrow).
Even to this date, the daily diet of the Masai consist exclusively
of a mixture of blood and milk. Once or twice a month they get to
eat meat by sacrificing one animal from their herd. They do not
grow any vegetables or crops of any kind and they do not form
part of their diet at all.
