Photo Safari to "Los Cayos Siete Hermanos", Specifically "Cayo Tuna". These are seven small islands located 15 nautical miles north of Montecristi. These are a group of small islands used by several marine birds during their reproductive cycle, from May to August, to lie their eggs and raise their chicks. It is a very well guarded and well protected area now, under the supervision of Secretaria de Medio Ambiente, and its director, Mr. Jaime David Fernandez. They were gracious enough to lend us a biologist and one of their large boats and its entire crew and staff for transportation to the area. This gallery show the species of birds found in the region and the beauty of its geography. Other species photographed in the mangroves of the main shore of the island are included in the gallery.
