Both archaelogy/anthropology and survey/cad students work together to survey the site. Dale Croes and Mike Martin guide their students through the process.
The site had been used to leach the toxins from acorns. The acorn flour was then used as a food. This is a one of a kind site in North America. Over 10,000 Native Americans had lived near the site.
Surveying is the first process that the archaelogy team performs.
