Dale Croes and the South Puget Sound Community College Anthropology Club spent a week working on the Sauvie Island site. The plan was to locate, mark and survey acorn pits. The result was to locate many more pits than expected and to locate several basket parts. It was a very successful week.
The goal of this gallery is to show what the faculty and students did during the week. This is a major site on the Columbia River.
The students all have a number of seasons of experience working on digs. Hopefully, Dale and crew will be able to work on this site for years to come.
