Al Reinschmidt, 70, of Lombard IL, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan 5 2018.
Al went on to earn his doctorate in civil engineering at the University of
Illinois. Al worked as an Asst. Professor at Penn State University. Al later
worked at Association of American Railroads as Sr. Asst. Vice President. Al
also consulted for numerous high speed rail projects across the globe, as
“Dr. Track” Railway Consultants. In 1998 Al began working for Transportation
Technology Center Incorporated. Al retired from his Vice President position
in 2012. Al enjoyed volunteering at the Illinois Railway Museum.
