I'm saddened to pass along the news of David Cable's passing. David
was a retired Blue Circle Cement executive, avid rail photographer and world
traveler. David attended several WGRF's in the 1990's and made numerous
trips to the US to photograph trains.

David was quite the character and a lot of fun to be around. He possessed
the "typical" British dry sense of humor. He also was quite an established
and widely published rail photographer in the UK

Another of our contemporaries passes from the scene.
