Bill! I just picked up on your FBK Tunnel View RAINBOW (tiraid) and spent some time on your site. I did my Masters Thesis (PHI-THEO major:-) ) on AA, "ADAMS' ART," 175pgs, 1983, which draft he read and gave me high marks. I continue to be a researcher-collector-writer on YoSemite and AA. Vernal Fall has been a narrow subject of my Yo-Effort! The once Giant TWIN'TOPPED Red Fir in front of Vernal has been a focus. I am posting because your Vernal Photograph shows what was the remnant left from '04-'05 and I am interested in the DATE of your photograph because it shows the stump'o'Affair still alive! I only have a vague idea of it's actual demise. My PHILOSPHY about RAINBOWS is EVERYBODY ought to have their RAINBOW!! With Jeff NIXON, a close friend (actually AA's last assistant) along as Pro'Photographer, I with my wife Rickie and (1of2) daughter Jocelyn and sons Jeremy and Jonathan went in from Yo-SE to Lyell Fork of the Merced to experience Mt AA (2days in and 2 out minimum--only a heli could do it differently. The 45 miler turned into a trauma from the first days! Our second evening under Mt'ANSEL after another day of summer'Showers the sun broke under the clouds and gave us the most BEAUTIFUL'RAINBOW framing Lyell Fork the meadow and ANSEL! It was a euphoric'Moment!! Yo-2012'Family, we have Our'RAINBOW!! -- ADDENDA: In my vintage'Photo Gallery I have a FAGERSTEEN 5"X'8 MOONBOW of Yo-Falls :-) !!
