STEVE HILTON ANNOUNCES DAY ONE EXECUTIVE ORDER — CALIFORNIA TAXPAYER FRAUD STRIKE FORCE TO TARGET NEWSOM, BONTA, AND COHEN

Steve Hilton just released his first executive order for Day One as California governor.

“I want to show you my first executive order as governor of California,” Hilton said while holding up the document. “This will be enacted on day one when I'm governor. This is establishing a California taxpayer fraud strike force.”

He continued: “This will make sure that we investigate and prosecute the billions of dollars in fraud, theft of taxpayer money that has occurred over the last few years, including investigating Gavin Newsom who would be former governor when this takes effect. Rob Bonta who is the former attorney general... And Malia Cohen, the former state controller.”

Hilton explained why: “We'll investigate these officials because they were warned about the fraud and they did nothing about it. That to me looks like criminal negligence if there is evidence of that.”

He added: “This executive order makes clear we have resources and commitment to prosecute them and get the money back.”
