Gavin Newsom tearing up talking about his struggles with dyslexia and ADHD:

“I have dyslexia. I have ADHD. And I… I… I struggled in school. I struggled… mightily. And… and I… I… I felt less than. I felt stupid.

And… and it was painful. It was… it was really painful. And… and I… I hid it. I hid it for a long time.

And… and then… then I started to realize that… that maybe… maybe this is a gift. Maybe… maybe this is something that… that actually makes me… me stronger. Makes me more resilient. Makes me more… more empathetic.

And… and I… I started to lean into it. And… and I… I started to… to talk about it. And… and the more I talked about it, the more I realized how many other people… people were struggling with the same thing.

And… and it… it gave me… it gave me strength. It gave me… it gave me purpose.

So… so if you’re struggling… if you’re feeling less than… if you’re feeling… feeling stupid… or… or inadequate… just know… just know that you’re not alone. And… and that… that this… this can be… this can be a superpower.
