Cordell and I were up for a 16 mile mountain climb. The desination is at just over 11,000ft. It was steep. We made it to the base of that peak and my knee was giving me problems, but I was pushing it. And as we were taking a rest ready do to the last 1/2 mile to the top, a storm was brewing, and some lightening struck! We decided to get the heck outta there instead. My knee pain was gone for that next couple miles as we ran down the ridge to get off the top. Soon the clouds were gone, WTF? Mother nature hates the 2 of us is all we can come up with. This is the second trip she ruined. But it was still a good hike.
