the double crested cormorant, one of the few birds that can swim and perch on a stick. they have been documented swallowing a 13 inch catfish with the spines fully erect. they swim under water and don't have the oily feathers other birds do, that keep them dry and afloat; so they dry themselves like this classic pose.
