only a macro test
17-09-2006

A bit grey and lazy this sunday, so I only did some macro tests around my flat.

And really not a good start for my second year of pad:
Had a few discussions with some parents. They have decided that their children should not to be seen on internet.
I couldnīt convince them and couldnīt destroy their fears.
So I already had to delete some pics, and may be I have to delete some more.
I feel very sad about this, as the children like their pics,
and I love the innocence and happiness which they show in many of these pics.
For me they are just an important part of life around here,
and I enjoy a good shot of them as well as I enjoy a good flower shot for example.
Well, I canīt do nothing but accept the parentīs decision.

It is a pity that our world is such that parents are afraid for their children through photos, but I can understand their concerns.
This is a lovely snapdragon, Werner. I love it's colours.

Such a shame about the children, perhaps some parents will allow you to still photograph theirs.
Beautiful colour on this snapdragon!

I sympathise with you about the lost opportunities for capturing childrens' play. It's an unfortunate part of modern life we simply have to accept. Jannik is right that there are many other subjects, and you will do them justice and derive great satisfaction along the way.

Es tut mir leid, daß die Eltern nicht die Fotos ihren Kinder auf Internet sehen wollen. Das ist aber verständlich...
Und Du hast sehr viele anderen wunderbaren Fotos!
Ich mag die Farben hier!

Wonderful shot, Werner! I am very sorry to hear about the worried parents - but, as you say, there isn't much to do about it. Except turning to the billions of other interesting subjects, I guess.
