There are little pieces of chocolate, covered with bright and cheerful colours, we call smarties. Had the idea for quite a while for a colourful gallery like this, with pics like smarties, but had to wait for the right occasion: The fun fairs that take place around here throughout the year.
The biggest one for more than a week each year is the 'Cranger Kirmes' just around the corner. It has a long history. Its origins go back to a horsemarket more than 500 years ago. Nowadays they have about four million visitors each year.
But there are also other fun fairs around each year, which have a similar tradition. And as I like this kind of colourful candids, I will take the chance to go there, whenever I can.
