This shot of the chimp is your best. Anyone who doubts humans are related to the other apes should take a good look at this hairy fellow. There is a sentient being in there somewhere.
Your other shots are very good. The San Diego Zoo is a great place to spend the day shooting photos.
BTW, to those who have commented on the 300D Rebel, it has the same sensor as the more expensive 10D and you should be able to capture equivalent images with the two cameras.
