Wonderful color and detail. They are such a pest but they do put on a good show.

Wonderful capture, we get starlings every year at the feeder. They chase all the other birds away.

Very nice shot Wendy. Starlings have been a huge problem upon our native birds since their introduction, but guess they are here to stay. 8-)

Great picture - the woodpecker that made this hole was certainly ambitious.

Nice sharp image Wendy. Standing guard I guess so the woodpeckers don't come back ;-)

These are starlings. They are nesting in a hole made in a telegraph pole by a woodpecker. The woodpecker had its nest there a couple of years ago, but it looks like they were ousted by Mr & Mrs Starling this year!

This is an excellent depiction of the situation. I am impressed. I would like to know what kind of birds these are and what that pole is for. I am surprised that the birds have managed to peck a nest-hole into such sturdy-looking wood.
