ENVY! I have seen only one in my life and I was so excited, the photo was blurred by my fast-beating heart. This is an Ebony Jewelwing. It is dazzling. Breathtaking. And big!
This and other damsels, spreadwings, etc., are included in Dennis Paulson's book, Dragonflies and Damselflies of the East. Well worth the investment if you are interested in such insects.

I love the combination with the soft background; the damselfly is gorgeous, allthough a little noise around his head
