Gulls hang out at Tidal Falls all year long, but are less abundant during the winter. They catch fish, crabs and other food. They may be seen stealing food from seals and ducks or trying to take food from eagles. They use the rocks along the water to break open the hard shells of sea urchins, crabs, and muscles by dropping them from above as they fly over. Often they are seen with crabs or starfish in bills.
