We finally got around to getting a Christmas tree. Our stand is a rock solid piece of cast iron, but it must be meant for 12 foot tall trees. The trunk
needs to be at least 5 inches in diameter before the screws can hold it, so most years I end up attaching little pieces of wood to make it thick enough.
