The Freedom Festival is an annual event held by Detroit, USA, and Windsor, Canada. There are fireworks from three barges in the middle of the river. This was my first time (I happened to be in town for a conference), and they were the most spectacular fireworks I have ever seen (or heard, felt, breathed, or smelled!). The view from the Canadian side would have been even better, but I had to fly out the next morning. It also turns out that 24 mm wasn't quite wide enough (on a 1.6x body), but I didn't let that spoil my fun...
