This station was built in 1910 and is on the original site. It served the town of Gatesville and surrounding communities until 1970 when the railroad stopped visiting the town. It is now used as a museum run by the chamber of commerce. You would hardly know that this was once a train depot. It is located in a paved parking lot with nary a train or track in site and a McDonalds next door. The land was once owned by Walmart who wanted to demolish the depot but they ended up dedicating the land it sits on to the city.
