The Cozy Theater in Schulenburgh, TX was built in 1927 in the same building with the Von Minden Hotel. Acouple named Speckles owned both the hotel and the Theater. Mr Speckles ran the hotel while Mrs Speckles (nee Von Minden) ran the theater. Mr Von Minden financed the hotel as a wedding gift. It has been owned by the Petitsd since 1977, where he has a law office on the second floor. The Hotel and theater is said to be haunted by Mrs Speckles. It runs first run movies and is $4.00 per ticket. The property appears to be in deisrepair and if you saw the hotel I doubt you would want to stay there.
