The Arcadia Theater was built in 1928 as a silent movie theater. Sound was added a couple of years later. There were live performances well into the 50s with such personalities as Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and Robert Mitchum. The Theater closed in 1978. According to the Arcadia Theater.org web site there are plans to revovate the theater, but the roof has been off for several years and there has been significant interior damage. These pictures are evidence to the poor condition of the exterior.
