This Station in Hearne, TX was built in 1901 by both the Houston and Central texas and the Great Northern Railroads. It originally sat beside Route 6 in Hearne between a set of unique crossed tracks belonging to each railroad company. The station has not been used for passenger traffic in some time and in 2001 it was moved 660 feet across Route 6 to it's present location and restoration began. As you can see, the station is still under restoration. In order to give viewers a look at what the station might have looked like originally behind crossed tracks, I married two photos to come up with the second photo.
