I hadn't been on this trail since it was rerouted and repaired after the hurricanes of 2004 flooded the mountains. I thought it would be good for wildflowers, I hadn't been as far as The Narrows, and Bernie said kayakers wrote of a small waterfall below The Narrows. That's all the reasons I needed to head that way. Bernie liked the idea too and joined me on the hike. The shot here is a small cascade at the head of The Narrows.
They did a great job on rebuilding the trail. Unfortunately it doesn't follow the creek, but it ends at the camping area just like the old one did. There were quite a few wildflowers blooming around the camping area, so I shot a few of those before heading the short distance down creek to the mini canyon.
