Max Patch had been recently mowed and this guy was up here fluffing up the hay. There's probably a better term for that. I'm not sure if the forest services contracts this out or if someone leases the land or if there is a conservation easement of some kind, but the grass will also be baled and used. If it's not mowed and maintained, the land will convert back to shrub and eventually back to forest.
