Our exploration destination this day brought us to the Little East Fork of the Pigeon River in the Shining Rock Wilderness area of the Pisgah National Forest. Access to the trail head is at the Boys Scout camp near Lake Logan. The trail follows the stream for about 2 miles and there are numerous small cascades along the way.
