From Horseshoe Bend, we headed over to the nearby Hanging Gardens. There wasn't much in bloom at this time of year, but our map showed that the Colorado River / Lake Powell was nearby if we didn't mind heading off trail. At about 3/4 of a mile off the trail, the river began to show itself.
