Today we decided to check out another area for birding - the Dagger Flat Auto Trail. We thought it was going to be a drive through the desert with interesting stops along the way, but turned out to be just a sandy/dirt road through the desert that ended at a spot called Dagger Flat. The giant dagger yuccas in this area were cool, but we didn't see very many birds at all.
