We didn't see anything else worth shooting on the remainder of the drive, so we headed over to the Haulover Canal to a place where manatee can be seen at times. This wasn't one of the times - on to Biolab Rd. Not sure where it got it's name, but Cindy had read where it might be a place to see alligators - another creature I have never seen in the wild. Biolab Rd is kind of a swampy, sandy area with a canal on one side of the road and marshy areas on the other. We passed one of those and spotted this glossy ibis feeding. Cindy stopped the car and I just shot out the open window.
