Areas of western NC received some decent rainfall yesterday and last night, so I had to go out somewhere. I considered Rufus Morgan Falls and that area, but they had flash flood warnings and excessive rainfall. Instead I decided to get a fairly early start and head towards the Linville Falls and Wilson Creek area. I had several places in mind, but wasn't sure where to begin until I was heading down the Old Fort grade on I-40. Duggars Creek Falls was one I've been wanting to reshoot, so I got off on Hwy 70 at Old Fort and took in on over to 221 and up to the front parking area at Linville Falls. This little waterfall is just off the parking lot, but few people know it's there. A bridge goes over the creek and this is the view up towards the falls.
